Originally from Bethlehem, PA, Doctor Alison Silhanek joined the Total Foot Care Group in 1999. She completed her undergraduate studies at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, and graduated from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago.

Following medical school, Dr. Silhanek completed a two-year residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, an affiliate of New York Hospital-Cornell. She is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and has a special interest in foot surgery and clinical research.

Dr. Silhanek is currently director of research for her former residency program, and her research studies have earned both regional and national awards. In the past several years, she has also begun overseeing humanitarian medical missions to South America to treat children with foot and ankle deformities.
