Doctor Wayne J. Bodamer, who founded the Total Foot Care Group in 1986, is one of the premier podiatrists and foot surgeons on Long Island. Born and raised in Farmingdale, NY, he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, in 1983.

After graduation from medical school, he completed an extensive surgical residency at the renowned Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Clara, CA. A board-certified foot surgeon, Dr. Bodamer received his certification from the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in 1989. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot And Ankle Surgeons.

One of the first podiatrists on Long Island to incorporate the CO2 Laser for the treatment of ingrown toenails and plantar warts in an office-based setting, Dr. Bodamer is also a certified laser surgeon who has performed well over 10,000 procedures. An expert in all types of foot care, he has received special recognition for his work with children’s foot disorders.
